Kitchen & Bath Remodeling in Fort Myers, FL
Owner-led kitchens and baths for south Fort Myers — from the historic homes along McGregor Boulevard to Gateway, The Forest, Fiddlesticks and Gulf Harbour.

Fort Myers has some of the most character-filled housing in Southwest Florida. Along McGregor Boulevard, under the royal palms near the Edison and Ford Winter Estates, you will find 1920s bungalows and mid-century ranch homes with real architectural charm. A few miles south and east are established country-club communities and newer master-planned neighborhoods, and along the Caloosahatchee River sit downtown condos and waterfront homes.
Since Hurricane Ian in 2022, many Fort Myers homeowners have been rebuilding and rethinking their homes at the same time. A&E 24 Renovations is a family-run, owner-led studio based in Naples, and Enmanuel and Ashley personally lead every Fort Myers kitchen and bath project — with a fixed scope and price before demolition and weekly photo updates throughout.

What remodeling in Fort Myers involves
City of Fort Myers or Lee County? Only addresses inside the City of Fort Myers limits — including downtown and much of the historic McGregor area — are permitted by the City. Much of south Fort Myers, including Gateway, Cypress Lake, Iona and many golf communities, is unincorporated Lee County and is permitted through Lee County. We confirm which applies to your address and pull the right permits.
Post-Ian rebuilding and the 50 percent rule. Hurricane Ian pushed storm surge into many Fort Myers neighborhoods. For homes in FEMA flood zones, if repairs and renovations together reach 50 percent of the structure’s value, the “substantial improvement” rule can require the home to meet current flood standards. If you are renovating after storm damage, it is important to plan the scope with this in mind from the start — we help you understand where your project stands before you commit.
Older homes need a careful eye. Remodeling a 1950s or 1960s ranch or a historic bungalow often means updating old plumbing and wiring behind the walls, and sometimes respecting historic district guidelines. We build a realistic contingency into the plan and tell you what we find, honestly, before it changes your budget.
The Fort Myers projects we are asked for most
- Mid-century kitchen renovations. Opening closed kitchens in older homes while keeping the character that makes them special.
- Post-storm kitchen and bath rebuilds. Turning a necessary repair into the kitchen or bath you actually want, with water-tolerant materials.
- Country-club home updates. Modern cabinetry, quartz, and spa bathrooms for 1980s and 1990s golf-community homes.
- Riverfront condo refreshes. Kitchens, baths, and flooring for downtown and waterfront condominiums, coordinated with the association.
What a Fort Myers remodel typically costs
Fort Myers costs depend heavily on the age of the home. In a 1980s or 1990s country-club home, a kitchen refresh often runs $25,000 to $40,000 and a full kitchen $50,000 to $85,000. In a 1950s or 1960s home near McGregor Boulevard, budgets should allow more contingency for updating old plumbing and wiring behind the walls. Bathrooms range from about $10,000 for a guest bath refresh to $40,000 and up for a full primary bath. If you are working with insurance proceeds after storm damage, we can help you understand how the repair scope and any upgrades fit together. You always receive a fixed price before demolition.
Materials for a post-Ian Fort Myers home
If your neighborhood flooded during Hurricane Ian, it is worth choosing materials that recover better if water ever returns: porcelain tile instead of carpet or laminate, plywood cabinet boxes instead of particleboard, and moisture-resistant wall products in the lower parts of rooms. Several owners have told us they would rather spend a little more now than rebuild the same way twice.
Respecting Fort Myers character
Some of Fort Myers’ most appealing homes are its oldest: bungalows and mid-century ranches along McGregor Boulevard and in neighborhoods near downtown, many with original terrazzo floors, wood details, or simple, solid layouts. A good remodel here modernizes the kitchen and bath without stripping out what makes the home special. We look for what is worth keeping — restoring terrazzo instead of covering it, for example — and design new kitchens and baths that feel at home in the house rather than borrowed from a new subdivision. If your home sits in a designated historic district, we account for any review it may need before we plan the work.
